The advantage of EPS

Thermal insulation
EPS has very low thermal conductivity due to its closed cell structure consisting of 98% air.
Moisture resistance:
EPS is non-hygroscopic and does not readily absorb moisture from the atmosphere.
Because EPS is rot-proof and durable, it will remain an effective insulant for the life of the building.
Environmental safety:
EPS has no nutritional value to support fungal, bacteriological or animal growth. This makes it an ideal material for food packaging. EPS is also non-toxic and inert, and contains no chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) or hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs).
Mechanical strength:
Flexible production makes EPS versatile in strength which can be adjusted to suit the specific application. EPS with high compressive strength is used for heavy load bearing applications, whereas for void forming EPS with a lower compressive strength can be used. 
EPS can be manufactured in a wider range of shapes and sizes than other materials. It is also compatible with cement, concrete, brick, masonry, mortars, plaster and bitumen-based damp-proof membranes. 
Ease of transport and installations:
Because EPS is lightweight, it is easy to transport and saves fuel resources during transportation. EPS is also easy to handle, store and install, and does not require wear of protective clothing.
The shock absorbency quality of expanded polystyrene packaging guarantees the protection of a broad range of products, from white and brown goods through to electronic components.
EPS can be custom-shaped to protect all kinds of products. This reduces the amount of packaging required, resulting in savings on space, distribution and damaged-goods costs.
EPS is made of 98% air, making it one of the lightest packaging materials. EPS adds therefore very little to the weight to the packaging.
The thermal insulating properties of EPS help keep food fresh and prevent condensation throughout the distribution chain.
